Health Information Technology (HIT) Program Application Page

The background check is normally $20 if you do what's on the application, which is to apply at http://hawaii.gov/ag/hcjdc .
However, if you go to the Kauai Police Department, you can apply yourself on their computer and the fee may be less.

All applicants must sign and submit the two FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974) forms,
one for the ONC and one for Los Rios Community College, the sponsor of the Hawaii HIT program.
The appropriate boxes are pre-checked, you just need to sign and turn the documents in to OCET.
Or you can fax them to 245-8271, attention Joe Meboe, HIT Coordinator.

Qualification information is included within the application document. And you'll need to
pay KCC the $25 course registration fee. This is the only cost for this six-month course.
