Rural Development Project Kauai

Community Assistance

The overall purpose and priority goal of the Rural Development Project is to create sustainable educational and vocational strategies, programs and infrastructure that will continue to have a positive impact on the workforce beyond the life of the federal grant.

RDP is continually looking for projects that will impact the community and determining if it will fulfill the RDP Purpose listed above.

Information on employment needs is gathered from the County statistics, Hawaii Department of Labor, and the Kauai Workforce Development Division.

In addition, partnership with local business owners and federal departments is key in making each Project successful and we work diligently to embrace these relationships.

Each project is dependent on acquiring a training event that can later become a self-sustaining program for Kauai.

If you you have a project that would help members of the community please call 808-241-3365.
