Student computer accounts:
Your UH username and password will be used to access computer lab systems. This is the same username/password used to register and access the MyUH Portal. You will have immediate access to the internet and all other programs available for student use in the labs. If you would like to have network storage space (H:), you can apply by clicking on the desktop icon labeled Applyfor MyKCCFolder and filling out the form. Your network space will be available in 5-10 minutes. If you had data stored on the H: drive from Spring and/or Summer 2007 and would like to have it restored, click on the same icon. It will take 1-2 days to get your data restored.
Shared group folders for divisions or classes:
If your division, class or club would like to have a folder to share files on our network, please email us at email@example.com. We will need the following information: Each person's MyUH username, and whether they will have the right to add/delete/edit files (read-write) or just view files (read-only).
CS info button:
Faculty and staff office computers now have a green and black CS icon on their quick launch bar. Through this button, you can arrange for remote assistance.
Saving your files on the H: or MyKCCFolder:
Please save your documents on the H drive. We cannot emphasize this enough. Should anything be accidentally deleted, this is your best chance of recovery. Your network storage is backed up nightly and saved for one month.
