Cognition Center Mission:

 

Motivate, Create, and Educate. To showcase innovative and sustainable pedagogy that promotes hands-on learning  with an emphasis on the joy of discovery.

Some of our Achievements

• Renovation and retrofit (sustainability theme) of Cognition Learning Center
• Constructed a MakerBot 3D Printer
• Gigapan – giga pixel imaging and processing
• Converted gas powered Kei truck to electric (plug-in)
• 2011 Lights on Rice parade (Electric Truck Angry Birds float)
• Collaborative project with County of Kaua‘i Solid Waste Division,
  science classes, culinary class, and cognition.
• Liquid Galaxy
• Vertical Wind Tunnels
• Students attended the LSAMP IOA Annual Student Conference on Oahu
• We Recycle/Reuse/Repurpose to the Max!
• Repurposing of Old computers with Ubuntu and open source software (FOSS)
