KCC Family and Friends Meetup Group

After several conversations with many different faculaty/staff members, I have decided to launch a social calendar of events so that we can all get together outside of work and our family members are encouraged to attend. I have purchased and set up our own group on a website to help us organize all information. And, I have recruited Will Dressler (our Learning Coordinator) to be my assistant organizer for this group.

You may want to use your personal email address when you sign-up. If you use the hawaii.edu address, the first email confirmation you are supposed to get to finish your registration process might to into your spam file. It is very easy to use. You do not have to learn anything new. 

The calendar may look a little empty right now, but will have more activities posted as people make their commitment to host. Some of the activities on the calendar are:

▪ Walking Group every Weds, hosted by Noel from the Book store

▪ A night one Saturday a month at one of our favorite restaurants

▪ Zymurgy 101: Make your own beer workshop, hosted by Terry Bruns

▪ Hula classes (tentative)

▪ A possible book club (hosted by one of our English faculty)

▪ A possible trip to the botanical garden (hosted by one of our science faculty)

▪ Lots of hiking/biking trips hosted by many of our faculty/staff members.
